This will be the first session of the principals academy for high school administrators. During this session, legislateive updates, curriculum updates, and ACT prep will be the focus.  The ACT prep portion of the day will be facilitated by Kelli Marteney.

Orton-Gillingham Follow-Up Workshop

This workshop will allow participants who were previously trained in the OG methods to: 

  • Reflect and ask questions about implementation
  • Gain additional information and knowledge to supplement previous training
  • Collaborate and problem solve with Susan Nolan and other teachers on how to continue implementing OG in their classrooms.

Understanding & Managing Trauma in the Classroom

Bringing Science to Life
Instructor: Jenny Ridenour and Teresa Caldwell from the Athens and Meigs Soil and Water Conservation Districts
Description:

This workshop will help Pre-K through 2nd grade teachers incorporate science into their classrooms.  The themes for the workshop are "Environmental Experiences" and "Getting Little Feet Wet". During this workshop, teachers will have the opportunity for hands on learning activities and gain knowledge and resources to use in their own classrooms.
