The purpose of the Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) is to review coursework and other professional development activities proposed and completed by educators to determine if the requirements for renewal of licenses has been met.
In order to renew a license, an educator should first submit an Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) for committee approval. Once approval has been granted, take coursework or other professional development that supports the IPDP.
For activities other than coursework or conferences, please get pre-approval from the committee to ensure that credit can be given towards renewal.
Submit an LPDC PD Activity Form for each course or professional development activity. The committee encourages educators to submit the PD Activity Form at the conclusion of each course or activity.
All submitted PD Activity Forms will be examined by the committee. Forms will either be returned for additional information or as approved. Please follow form directions carefully and be diligent in filling out the forms completely.
IPDP and PD Activity Forms can be sent to the Athens Meigs ESC office on Richland. During the 2012 –2013 school year, the LPDC will meet on the following days:
August 15
September 19
November 14
